Both in world-class and leisure sports, success is powered by performance. And this is particulary true for the sports facilities themselves. In the competition between public and private sector operators, sports and leisure concepts are in demand. Innovative ideas make sports facilities more attractive for participants, spectators and event organisers. Welcome to the perfect training camp at FSB!
At FSB 2011 among the sports facility section, new and innovative products have been presened f.ex. new indoor floor coverings, modular sports facilities, modern display, projection and time-keeping systems, new ticket terminals and check-out systems, sports appliances and equipment were presented. In addition to products and projects, the visitors also had the opportunity to indulge in sporting activities in the exhibition halls: in the FIBA Village basketball and wheelchair basketball were played, on the mini football pitches among others the Bambini league teams competed against each other, while the ice rink presented ice hockey, exhibition skating and curling.
Partner country BRAZIL at FSB 2011
For the first time, FSB has choosen a Partner Country for 2011. The decision was opted for Brazil, because this Latein-American country will host 2 great sport events, that will influence the sports infrastructure in the next years. The FIFA Soccer World Cup 2014 und the Olympic Games 2016 will require special solutions for all kind of sports facilities. Regenerative energy, sustainability and CO2 neutrality are only a few speaking points. First study cases and results have been presented at the 22. IAKS Congress during FSB.
