“India International Hardware Show Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD” for the first time from 22 to 24 October 2009 in New Delhi
An international platform for the hardware and DIY industries in India: From 22 to 24 October 2009, Koelnmesse YA Tradefair Pvt. Ltd. will, for the first time, be presenting the India International Hardware Show Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD. The annual trade fair will take place in New Delhi. One hundred exhibitors over 4,000 square metres are planned for the premier. Oliver P. Kuhrt, Executive Vice President of Koelnmesse GmbH: “India is a prospering market. The area of tools, hardware and DIY in particular is exhibiting growth rates in double figures. For Koelnmesse, it therefore goes without saying that we will open doors to this new lucrative market to our global customers” Even before the first event, there is already support from German industry. Rainer Langelüddecke, CEO of FWI e.V. says: “The India International Hardware Show Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD offers us an excellent chance to develop new markets and to export the innovations of the German tool manufacturing industry to India.”
With a trading volume of 10.54 billion euros in 2006, Germany is now India's fourth most important trading partner. In contrast to markets in the Far East, India is becoming ever more significant as a sales market – particularly in the area of hardware and DIY – and already counts as one of the most important export partners for many international manufacturers. “With the India International Hardware Show Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD, we are offering European medium-sized companies in particular an international platform in New Delhi, enabling them to enter into business with new partners quickly, favourably and easily”, according to Oliver P. Kuhrt and he adds: “India needs an international trade fair that covers the product ranges of tools, security technology and fixing systems, locks and metal fittings and construction and home improvement supplies / DIY, and offers a home to international manufacturers and purchasers from India, China and South-East Asia.”
Koelnmesse is thus again developing its global competence in all aspects of tool manufacture. In addition to the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE TRADE FAIR / PRACTICAL WORLD, last year Koelnmesse entered into a strategic partnership with Ferroforma, Bilbao, and is also organising the China International Hardware Show Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD in Shanghai together with the China National Hardware Association. The top 3 trade fairs in the industry are thus designed and organised by and with Koelnmesse.
In Cologne, the new trade fair will be supervised by Sven Mönnich as project leader. Ashwani Pande will be responsible as the on-site contact person for Koelnmesse YA Tradefair Pvt. Ltd in India.
