Recycling of tartan running tracks, artificial turf and other sports floors/materials

Recycling plastic floors (e.g. tartan running tracks, artificial turf, fall protection) will become an ever greater challenge in the coming years. Up to now, only some of the materials have been reused after use - a large proportion goes into incineration. In complex process steps, different materials have to be separated cost-intensively and returned to the recycling cycle.

Due to changing environmental protection requirements and for socio-political reasons, municipalities, associations and companies are increasingly looking for sustainable solutions. These topics will be addressed in the Recycling @ FSB area.

Special show recycling

Special show recycling at FSB

In the special show, the life cycle of plastic floors, such as running tracks made of tartan, was presented. Here you could gain an insight into the value chain of sports floors. The different processing stages - be it shredded tyres or granulates and end products - as well as their recycling and reuse were shown.

Forum recycling

Forum Recycling at FSB

At the Recycling Forum, speakers from industry, associations and services presented trends, new technologies and innovative approaches to recycling solutions. Current topics such as sustainability and responsibility played a role in many lectures.
