Specialist event “Sustainable ice rinks: Carbon neutral, economical and needs-based”
The sustainable design of ice rinks is a key challenge for local authorities, clubs and investors. With the aim of developing Carbon-neutral, economically viable and needs-based concepts, this specialist event brings together experts from sport, business and science.

Energy concepts for sustainable ice rinks
Modern ice rinks are increasingly relying on sustainable energy concepts to optimize their high energy requirements. These include, among other things:
- Highly efficient refrigeration systems with Carbon-neutral refrigerants
- Utilization of waste heat for building heating and hot water
- Integration of photovoltaics and innovative energy storage systems
- Digitalization for intelligent control of energy consumption and resources

This event is aimed at representatives from local authorities, sports associations, clubs, architects, operators of sports facilities and investors who are interested in future-proof and sustainable ice sports concepts.
