The event
Together with FSB partners BSFH, BDLA NRW, and the media partner Playground & Landscape, a comprehensive professional program will be presented on all four trade fair days. The "AREAL STADT und RAUM" will again be designed under special urban planning conditions — a blend of exhibition spaces, special topics, networking, information, and activity.
Planners will share practical insights and provide tips and inspiration for designing public spaces. This year's key topics include inclusion, schoolyards as activity spaces, and information about water management, sponge cities, and water playgrounds.
The focus lies on the question of how public open spaces, green areas, and playgrounds can be designed to be more "inclusive": intergenerational, as activity spaces, and with an emphasis on partnership and collaboration.
Regarding inclusion, there will be an experiential inclusion area located right next to the "planerFORUM," where trade fair visitors can try out various movement modules under realistic conditions. As part of the inclusion theme, the partners will showcase relevant best practices.
On October 30, 2025, the BDLA NRW Day will also take place, addressing various aspects of sustainability in public spaces.
The event is recognized as a continuing education program by the AKNW.
All theme partners will present different focal points in their lectures, ensuring modern and exciting presentations for all visitor target groups.
The "planerFORUM" is embedded in the FSB theme world "Open Spaces & Play Equipment" in Hall 9. Here, the industry gathers for information, networking, and product presentations by manufacturers.
