FSB 2025 | Highlights Day 1 | 28 October 2025

Get off to a flying start! Kicking off FSB 2025, the 29th IAKS Congress was once again the industry's must-attend event. Under the motto ‘Creating strong infrastructure for an active future’, renowned experts presented the latest trends in the planning, modernisation and sustainable design of sports and leisure facilities. Dr Anne Pfeil from the Davos Baukultur Alliance gave a presentation on promoting high-quality building culture – from principles to practice.

Another highlight was the IOC IAKS Architecture Award 2025. The award ceremony for sustainable, barrier-free and innovative sports and leisure facilities took place at 6 p.m. as part of the IAKS Gala and offered a unique opportunity to experience inspiring projects and the people behind them.

The trade audience was also amazed by the ice rink in Hall 9. During the first and the following days of the trade fair, the ice-skating shows thrilled visitors with their athletic brilliance.

This start to FSB 2025 promised further informative and eventful days.
